What DubTake collects

When you sign in with Apple, DubTake receives an Apple account identifier and, if you choose to share them, your name and email address. We store project metadata, private uploaded source videos used for dialogue analysis, App Store transaction identifiers, plan usage, first-party product-interaction analytics such as onboarding, recording, export, purchase, and share actions, app version and build number, support requests, Community age confirmation, rights attestations, reports, and moderation decisions.

How your media is used

Your private project video, including its audio track, is securely uploaded to DubTake's service. The uploaded video or its extracted audio may be sent to OpenAI to create timed dialogue cues and to Replicate to separate dialogue from background sound when you use those features. The source remains private to your account and is not published to Community unless you separately choose to submit it. Voice recordings, takes, separated background audio, and final exports are stored on your iPhone. If you deliberately submit a video to Community, the video is stored privately while representative frames are checked for sexual and other unsafe material. Every submission remains private until a host reviews the uploaded video and approves publication.

Service providers

DubTake uses Apple for sign-in and purchases, Cloudflare for secure application hosting and private media storage, OpenAI for dialogue transcription and Community image-frame safety classification, and Replicate for voice and background-audio separation. These providers process only the information needed to deliver those functions. DubTake does not permit them to use your media for advertising.

Analytics, tracking, and advertising

DubTake sends limited product-interaction events to its own service to understand feature reliability and the path from creating a dub to exporting or purchasing. These events are linked to your DubTake account identifier and do not include your videos, recordings, transcript text, name, or email address. DubTake does not sell personal information and does not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

Copyright-process information

Copyright notices and counter-notices collect the claimant or uploader’s legal name, email, phone number, mailing address, signature, claim description, and related scene identifiers. DubTake uses this information to investigate and administer the legal process. Information may be shared with the opposing party or disclosed when legally required.

Retention and deletion

Account, cloud project data, and Community submissions are retained while your account is active or until DubTake removes them for policy or safety reasons. Session records expire automatically. Support requests may be retained for up to 12 months. Rights attestations, copyright notices, counter-notices, and enforcement records may be retained as needed to document compliance, resolve disputes, prevent repeat infringement, and meet legal obligations. You can permanently delete your profile, sessions, cloud projects, Community submissions, and associated media inside DubTake under Projects → Settings → Delete account. DubTake retains a minimal pseudonymous Apple account identifier, App Store transaction and entitlement records, completed export-allowance records, and necessary enforcement records to restore paid access, prevent Free Dub allowance resets, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations if the same Apple identity returns. Apple may retain purchase records under its own policies, and deleting DubTake does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription.

Your choices

You can deny microphone, speech recognition, or Photos access in iPhone Settings, though the related feature will not work. Community users can report scenes and block creators. You can use the in-app deletion control or contact support for privacy questions.
